"The prayer of Jabez"

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,

"Oh that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!"

So God granted him what he requested.

Peace, joy and love to all who read this,

What a deep blessing we ask for when we claim the Jabez prayer... the kind of blessing that causes no harm to others, but instead, extends that blessing far beyond ourselves. I think that's what we need to do when we pray that our voices will work well for a performance or the writing of a song. Motive is everything... may we above all want to be effective at blessing our listener, making them feel something... by the working of our voices. The gift is for the giving. Thanks for your wise voice, Phil.

Thank you so much Judy.

I so agree, we must share our blessings with everyone we come in contact with. Not to make ourselves look good, but to spread our good fortune and love. I know that sounds corny, but we are so blessed. I do ask that God expand my territory so that others can share in my happiness.

Thank you so much for reading and sharing in my journey.

Peace and love,

Phil

Quote of the year...

“Be not the judges of men, but love your brothers and sisters, and find ways to reach out to them in common goals and aspirations. Where there is love in common, the divisions of creed will melt away and reveal the true nature of man’s eternal destiny -- one of unity in purpose, to be perfect as the Father is perfect."
